@Gizmodo: iPhone on Monday. Guaranteed.

posted in Strategy, Hardware |

iPhone fever has reached epidemic proportions. Analysts must be exhausted trying to one-up each other, and now we have this from Gizmodo’s Brian Lam:

I guarantee it. It isn’t what I expected at all. And I’ve already said too much. –Brian Lam

That’s it. That’s the post. So I immediately went to MacRumors, who always does a great job of assessing a rumor’s veracity. And sure enough, they weighed in, saying that Gizmodo is a well-established gadget blog that has no prior record with Apple rumors.

Take it for what you will. I for one would be very, very surprised to see the iPhone announced one week prior to Christmas and just three weeks prior to Macworld. But maybe Brian knows something we don’t know.

UPDATE: Brian Lam was right. Cisco announced it’s web-enabled iPhone VOIP device. Good job, Brian. Nice way to get some buzz and traffic for your site.
